It was quite hazy but the images turned out pretty well given the high pressure system dominating the weather.  Another trip over Bedford shows the new village of Wixams near the Elstow Storage site.

In March I drove over to Wellesbourne in the fog to renew my Flying Instructor rating and later renewed my instrument flying qualification at Cranfield and got to try out the new DME (Distance Measuring Equipment) on the ILS (Instrument Landing System).  It is now November and without the 30 or so training hours I would have done almost no flying since then.

As the recession bites there is now even less flying to be done here but more flights are planned.  I have been busy sailing again between Grimsby and Lowestoft which is enough to take anyone's mind off flying!  To add insult to injury a back strain from lifting furniture has now curtailed the flying, sailing and motor cycling.  Perhaps 2012  will provide more opportunities to get into the air and weather and to get clicking away again...?
