Aerial Photography

Taking a few months off now unless some more lucrative work comes up.  The only recent enquiries have resulted in my working and planning only for a cancellation or to be undercut!  A few sites will be finished when we get some clear air on a day when I feel like flying - that could be some way away...

Flight Training

Now ceased at least until winter and I may have retired...

Sailing

The long awaited new wheelhouse hatch was fitted perfectly in a few minutes thanks to the precision engineering skills of Vetus in Holland, some silicone sealant and 24 stainless screws!

Aft deck cover still not ready but due for completion before the end of July.  Only sailing activity was a motor-sail to Scroby Sands wind-farm and back on 5th April averaging 5 knots under motor with not enough wind to sail properly.  In all nearly 6 hours on the sea in sunny weather - Great!  Recently only managed to get afloat on Lake Lothing at Lowestoft but we did stop mid-stream for a relaxed picnic.  I am still contemplating a real sail before long and my next project is fitting a wind generator.

Life in general...

Just got back from a few days in Whitby, where rides on the North Yorkshire Moors railway steam trains to Goathland brought back great memories. A further few days in Lowestoft during a week of sunshine and spending time on the beach got summer off to a fine start and proved that East Coast hols are a great boost.
