Sailing

Silver Lady goes to sea for a local July jolly in mixed weather and is finally advertised for sale!  The final touches are still to be applied but the investments are at an end and following her long summer cruise a buyer will actively be sought.  The new aft cover has finally been fitted and happily, it makes a welcome enhancement for escaping weather and being able to maximise the use of space on board, especially when tied up.

July also saw the return to the sea for Nimrod a Colvic Watson 32.  A short local trip to check systems was completed by " 3 men in a boat" on a fairly lumpy sea.  This in a week when 3 rescues were completed within a few cables of the harbour mouth following engine failures and losses of steering.  Rescues resulted from the weather induced sea state and the effects of the sand banks that stir up the sea due to the strong tidal currents and eddies and especially in wind against tide situations.  Nimrod is for sale too.

August gets off to a wet start but adventures await....
